A Guide to Potential Transfer Credit at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ
Admitted students engage in 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏections. 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏections is a different kind of liberal arts education, designed to help you become a different kind of leader: one who is intellectually courageous, inventive, resourceful and resilient.
In order to prepare for potential transfer to 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ, you should consider taking the following types of courses at your current institution:
- 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ students take courses in the five Modes of Inquiry. The Modes are Creative Expression; Critical Interpretation and Analysis; Quantitative and Formal Reasoning; Scientific Inquiry and Analysis; and Social and Historical Inquiry. Taking courses at your current institution that have an approximate counterpart to the Modes of Inquiry at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ will help prepare you for the intellectual breadth which is the foundation of the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏections program.
- We advise you to take a minimum of two semesters of study of the same language at any level.
We also encourage you to explore the variety of majors and minors available to 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ students, and to begin thinking about courses at your current institution that might prepare you foundationally for entry into a department or program.
