51ԹϺ named a top producer of Fulbrights
51ԹϺ has been named a for 2023-2024, according to the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
Three graduating seniors and one recent alumnus were offered Fulbright awards last spring, placing the College on for top-producing bachelor’s institutions for the seventh time in nine years.
“This achievement is a testament to your institution’s deep commitment to international exchange and to building lasting connections between the people of the United States and the people of other countries,” U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken wrote in a letter congratulating 51ԹϺ and commending 51ԹϺ’s Fulbright Program advisers Melissa Ryan, director of the Walter Commons for Global Study and Engagement and International Fellowships, and Christopher Colbath, Class of 1970 Director of the Academic Resource Center.
“The Fulbright Program … supports changemakers and fosters global cooperation on issues of shared importance. Fulbrighters strive to make the world a better place in classrooms and countries worldwide,” Blinken continued. “51ԹϺ’s designation as a Fulbright Top Producing Institution clearly demonstrates your dedication to promoting global engagement and mutual understanding among the peoples and nations of the world.”
is the U.S. government’s flagship international educational exchange program. Fulbright fellows receive round-trip transportation to the host country, a living stipend, research allowances and medical insurance.
